Dear Customers and Partners,
We are excited to announce that ImplantBase has been acquired by Surgimate, a portfolio company of Banneker Partners. Surgimate is a leading provider of surgical coordination software in the U.S., enabling surgical practices to increase volume, reduce cancellations and achieve sustainable growth.
Surgimate’s investment in ImplantBase marks a significant milestone in our company’s mission to streamline inventory logistics and sales operations for medical device companies and their distributor networks.
As you know, most orthopedic/spine surgeries are elective procedures, meaning they are typically scheduled weeks in advance. However, manufacturers and operations teams often don’t know about these surgeries until a few days before (and sometimes after) they occur. As a result, everyone ends up navigating 'last-minute logistics' chaos and communication issues. ImplantBase has been committed to solving these logistical challenges by ensuring that field sales reps and operations teams are digitally connected to the entire supply chain anytime, anywhere. Now, there's a way to make it even better.
Over time, our partnership with Surgimate will enable earlier visibility into surgical events. This will allow our customers to anticipate and respond to surgical demand much sooner than is currently possible. The goal is to eliminate “last-minute logistics” which increase shipping costs, inventory commitment, sterilization costs, and the pre-case chaos that can impact patient care.
For more than 15 years, Surgimate and ImplantBase have separately shared a mission to make pre-surgical coordination and logistics more efficient. By combining our experience and solutions, we will create a new and better connection between medical device manufacturers, distributors, and the surgical teams they support—driving efficiency at every stage of the surgical journey.
Surgimate and ImplantBase will create an integrated solution that transforms the way surgical procedures are coordinated and supported. This partnership enables ImplantBase to bring even greater value to our customers, helping them fully navigate the complexities of surgical logistics with confidence.
Thank you for your continued partnership and trust. We invite you to learn more about this exciting step for ImplantBase by reading our press release.
Best regards,
Ethan Lauer
